Sunnyvale Auto Repair

We brought our van to Sunnyvale Foreign Car Service before we took 2 big driving trips for the summer. They have always been straightforward about what's needed now and what's needed later. We've always been very pleased with their work and service. Now we will be at ease knowing our car is ready to roll!

I have now had my 2000 VW Passat for 12 years and 75k miles. Thanks to SFCS service this car is still running and I have never had a break down or engine failure. They have consistently repaired the VW and replaced parts prior to a major problem. I fully trust SFCS to do what is necessary to keep this car running well. Although, this is not a cheap undertaking. I have learned that maintaining a VW Passat is an expensive endevour and I will never buy another VW. I am now looking to purchase a new car, as my teenage daughter will be taking over the VW. Audi?, I only hope it is better than the VW or maybe a Japanese car. But since the Passat is staying in the family I will continue to bring it to SFCS.

I described the noise I was suddenly experiencing to Matt over the phone and he made time that afternoon to do a quick initial assessment of it since I needed the car urgently the next day. Turned out it was a loose emergency brake cable dragging on the driveshaft, so he corrected it temporarily, eliminated the noise and I returned later that week for the complete repair--thanks Matt!

Matt was very detailed and informative. He made sure I was kept in the loop on what was happening to my car. I never felt "in the dark". There was a lot of problems with the car (cracked radiator, ac leak, 90k service, etc.). Matt came up with a plan of attack for repairs that tackled the critical issues and got my car back in the same day while noting what things could wait until the next visit. I've been to other shops where the list of problems discovered kept growing until my car was "hijacked" for a week. So was very appreciative SFCS was respectful of my schedule and came through on their plan.
